The design of the Causal Path Diagram requires no specific data as it is entirely conceptual. However, knowledge of or close consultation with experts is essential to consider all possible interactions of descriptors for a given ecosystem service. Parameterisation and running of SEM requires expertise in the approach and knowledge in a coding environment (e.g., R).
